All are welcome to attend this FREE event featuring Dr. Josh Umbehr, physician founder and owner of AtlasMD. Lunch will be provided to the first 80 people in attendance.
There is much to know about Direct Primary Care, practiced now by hundreds of doctors across America. It is a way to spend more time with patients, eliminate burdensome paperwork, and also enjoy a great life as a doctor! Yet, surprisingly, few medical students (and even practicing physicians!) are aware of this promising way to establish a medical practice.
Come find out about Direct Primary Care (DPC) with one of the pioneers in the movement, Dr. Josh Umbehr, who has two clinics in Kansas. Dr. Josh spends a lot of his time traveling & Skyping, talking to medical students and patients about DPC when not spending quality one-on-one time with his patients.
POST-EVENT SUMMARY: Dr. Josh Umbehr Skyped in and spoke about his Atlas MD direct primary care practice and answered questions from first and second year medical students. This event was in partnership with the SOM P3 week, which allows student groups to invite select speakers during the lunch hour. We had over 72 students RSVP and well over 100 attend (standing room only!). Many students were amazed by the opportunities that DPC has to offer. Lunch was provided for the first 80 students in attendance.
We had more students show up than expected. Dr. Josh is an great resource! I had multiple students indicate future interest in meetings and invited speakers.” ~Colten Philpott, BRI-TTUHSC chapter president
